Rumtse to Kiber

Rumtse is situated 70 Kms east of Leh, the starting point of this trek. Rupshu Valley lies sandwiched between Ladakh in the north, Tibet in the east and Zanskar in the west. It is a part of the Changthang plateau and is characterized by high arid plains, nomads, high pasturelands, snow-capped peaks and beautiful high altitude azure-blue lakes, the largest being Tsokar & Tso Moriri at 4,500 m. From Korzok to Kiber the transformation of Landscape is breathtaking.

Drive from Leh to Rumtsey en-route Shey Palace and Thiksay and Hemis Monastery and camp at Rumtse.

Day 01: After the breakfast start trekking to Kamar base.

Day 02: Kamar base-Kanmarla-taling base.

Day 03: Taling base to Tsokar lake.

Day 04: Tsokar to Nuruchen

Day 05: Nuruchen to Gyama

Day 06: Gyama to Gyama Burma

Day 07: Gyama Burma to Krozo

Day 08: Korzok to Kanggdam

Day 09: Kangdam to Norbo Numdo

Day 10: Norbo sumdo to Katpaboozos

Day 11: Katpaboozos to Largap

Day 12: Largap to Parangla base

Day 13: Parangla base to Thaltak via Parangla 5570M

Day 14: – Thaltak to Kibber.
